Eric Ward is Global General Counsel of Natixis Investment Managers and is a member of the Management and Executive Committees. He is responsible for leading the firm's legal teams worldwide, with a mission of providing legal advice and support, corporate and transactional structuring of business units, and adhering to local regulatory requirements. Providing Natixis' distribution and asset management teams with innovative legal solutions to advance business strategies is another responsibility.

Prior to joining Natixis Investment Managers in 2004, Eric was an associate in the Capital Markets Department of the law firm Linklaters in London and Paris. Before that he was an associate in the Corporate Department of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP in New York City, practicing in the areas of securities transactions and mergers and acquisitions. In 1996 and 1997, he was a legal officer at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

Eric holds a BA from DePauw University and a JD from Indiana University School of Law, and is a member of the bar of the State of New York. He is also a trustee emeritus of the French Library Alliance Francaise of Boston, a trustee of the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and a trustee and treasurer of Institutional Investors. In addition, Eric is a member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society Council.
