Cynthia L. Walker

Ms. Walker retired in August 2020 as Deputy Dean for Finance & Administration at the Yale University School of Medicine. During her tenure, she was responsible for all financial, budgetary, human resource, capital planning and other administrative support for the educational, research and clinical care missions of the school. She also collaborated with academic leadership of the school and the university in setting priorities and directing resources. Prior to her position at Yale, Ms. Walker was at Harvard Medical School for 24 years serving as Executive Dean for Administration and earlier as Dean for Finance/CFO. She began her professional career with Coopers & Lybrand where she managed numerous university and non-profit engagements.

Ms. Walker's undergraduate degree is from Yale in Ancient Greek. She also holds an MBA and is a CPA.
