Heather M. Young, CFA

Heather Young is a portfolio manager for the bank loan team at Loomis, Sayles & Company. Heather served at Loomis Sayles previously as a research analyst covering loans, high yield, investment grade, and emerging markets credits, and rejoined the firm in 2016 as a senior bank loan analyst and a strategist before being promoted to her current role.

Heather’s more than 17 years of investment industry experience began with her tenure at Columbia Management / Bank of America, where she analyzed loans, bonds, and structured products, and developed valuation models. Before rejoining Loomis Sayles in 2016, Heather earned her graduate degree, then served as an early-stage technology investor for Converge Venture Partners, and later as a senior analyst for ESG-forward investment grade bond manager Breckinridge Capital Advisors.

Heather earned a BA from Boston University and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a CFA® charterholder.
