George Marootian is the Executive Vice President and Head of Technology at Natixis Investment Managers – US Distribution. He joined the firm in 2014 and oversees the technology function, which includes infrastructure, software engineering, production operations, data engineering, quantitative services, technology program management, and technology innovation. One of his key focuses is leveraging technology to create operating leverage for both Natixis and its US-based affiliate firms. George is also leading initiatives to modernize the firm's operating model and enhance co-investment capabilities with affiliate partners.

With over 25 years of experience, George has been involved in the ideation, design, development, and operations of software-based solutions, transforming them into revenue enablers. Before joining Natixis, he worked at Cloud Technology Partners, focusing on the design, development, and implementation of cloud computing platforms for companies like GE, Kronos, Silicon Valley Bank, CITI and State Street.

George received the 2018 Boston CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Award in the Global category* and has an extensive background in technology engineering, design, development, and management within startups and Fortune 500 firms. He holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, with a focus on Computer Science, Operations Research, and Applied Math.
