Mr. Applewhite is an experienced corporate director and former senior executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience building and scaling complex multinational businesses. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions with global organizations, overseeing strategic growth, commercial operations, and client-facing businesses in the banking, financial services, insurance, technology, and business services sectors.
Prior to joining the Board, Mr. Applewhite held senior executive leadership roles with Convergys, Sitel Group, International SOS, and Year Up United. During his 15-year career with Convergys, he served in a succession of Senior Vice President positions with increasing responsibility, leading global client relationships and commercial organizations across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. He later served as Senior Vice President and Industry Group Leader for Sitel Group, where he led strategic growth and commercial initiatives within the banking, financial services, and insurance sector. At International SOS, Mr. Applewhite served as Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing the company's commercial organization, including sales, marketing, client services, consulting, partnerships, contracting, and pricing. Most recently, he served as National Head of Corporate Engagement and a company officer of Year Up United, a national workforce development organization.
Mr. Applewhite previously served as an independent director of Credit Suisse Holdings (USA) and Credit Suisse Securities LLC, where he was a member of the Audit Committee, Risk Committee, and Financial Crimes Control Committee.
Mr. Applewhite also serves on the Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, one of the nation's largest youth-serving organizations.
Mr. Applewhite holds a Master of Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina A&T State University.
