Amy Whitelaw

Former Head of BlackRock's Americas Equity Index Portfolio Management

Ms. Whitelaw is a senior investment executive with 30 years of experience in portfolio management, investment oversight, risk management, and fiduciary governance. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles overseeing large-scale investment portfolios, leading global teams, and driving strategic initiatives across equity index strategies, exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, collective investment trust funds, and retirement solutions.

Prior to joining the Board, Ms. Whitelaw held senior leadership roles at BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors, with earlier career experience at Goldman Sachs and AllianceBernstein. Most recently, she served as Head of Americas Equity Index Portfolio Management at BlackRock, where she oversaw approximately $3.5 trillion in equity assets across 2,000 portfolios and led a team of more than 70 portfolio managers.

Ms. Whitelaw also has extensive governance, risk, and compliance experience. She served on BlackRock's Institutional Trust Company Management and Enterprise Risk Committees, overseeing more than $2 trillion in collective investment trust funds. In these roles, she was responsible for investment performance oversight, risk management, regulatory examinations, and reporting to registered fund boards.

In addition, Ms. Whitelaw has significant experience in product development and innovation. She served as lead portfolio manager for BlackRock's flagship target date fund offering, chaired the LifePath Investment Committee, and helped expand the LifePath fund suite into a leading global retirement investment platform.

Ms. Whitelaw currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee of Futures Without Violence and as a board member of Community Action Marin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and French from Dickinson College.
