Natixis Investment Managers announces 2025 scholarship winners

BOSTON, October 16, 2025 – Natixis Investment Managers (Natixis IM) today announced the US recipients of its 2025 Global Equal Opportunities Advancement Scholarship. Four students from the Boston area have each been awarded a $5,000 renewable scholarship to support their college tuition and expenses, along with internship and mentoring opportunities at Natixis IM. The scholarship program is part of Natixis IM’s ongoing commitment to attract, inspire and develop future leaders within the financial services industry.

“We are proud to welcome the 2025 scholarship recipients to the Natixis Investment Managers community,” said Laima Bobelis, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility in the US and UK. “Our program not only provides essential financial support but also opens doors to career opportunities and mentorship that can help cultivate the next generation of talent in asset management.”

Launched in 2020, the Natixis Investment Managers Global Equal Opportunities Advancement Scholarship program has provided more than two dozen students with financial support and introductions to career paths in financial services. Awardees have gained valuable experience and mentorship through internships in departments such as sales, legal and compliance, and marketing. Additionally, Natixis IM leverages its multi-affiliate network to give scholarship winners more opportunities to gain firsthand experience and explore careers in the financial industry.

Meet the 2025 Natixis Investment Managers scholars:

  • Rida Ali is a rising junior at Boston University, double majoring in International Relations and Business Administration, with a minor in Arabic. Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Rida is enthusiastic about resolving global business conflicts and upholding international business ethics. This summer, Rida served as a Diplomatic Assistant at the United Nations, representing Pakistan and engaging in the country’s economic development. Rida aspires to pursue law or a master’s degree after graduation and practice corporate law in an international environment.

  • Kayla Germain is a Public Relations and Management major with a minor in Law at Bentley University. As Lead Program Manager at the Bentley Service-Learning Center and an active member of Cru Bentley, Kayla is dedicated to service, leadership, and faith-based impact. She plans to begin her career in public relations and hopes to launch a faith-based wellness platform to support underserved communities through mental health, mentorship, and spiritual growth.

  • Zakariya Hussein is a first-generation college student at Boston University, majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Global Business. Zakariya is passionate about photography, community building, and using creativity for social impact. On campus, Zakariya serves as an event coordinator at BU Spark and aims to work in brand strategy or global marketing after graduation, amplifying stories that inspire change.

  • Thomas W. Thermidor is a student at Babson College with a passion for real estate development, operations management, and social impact. Thomas has led youth entrepreneurship programs, consulted for startups, and served on alumni and advisory boards. With direct experience in real estate education and public-private partnerships, Thomas aims to drive inclusive urban development and strategic innovation in real estate investment and development after graduation.

Natixis IM’s scholarship and mentoring program is part of the firm’s broader commitment to strengthening the pipeline of emerging young professionals in the financial sector. Natixis IM partners with organizations that can help introduce more young people with varied backgrounds to career opportunities in finance such as two charter schools – Academy of the empower, Rim (APR) in Boston and the Life Learning Academy (LLA) in San Francisco; a long-term partnership with the John Winthrop Elementary School in Dorchester, Massachusetts; and The Equity Collective, a multi-year collaboration launched by Morgan Stanley designed to educate, empower and develop the next generation of leaders in the finance industry.

Natixis IM’s US scholarship program is designed in partnership with Bottom Line, a Boston-based nonprofit that assists first-generation students from under-resourced communities in their pursuit of higher education and career development in business and related fields. Natixis IM also implements similar programs in the UK in partnership with Haringey Community Gold and The London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET).
