Joseph Gawer began his career at Banque Paribas in 1993 as a financial and quantitative analyst. In 1999, he joined Deutsche Bank where he was a market strategist and head of quantitative analysis. In 2002, he joined CDC IXIS as long short equity portfolio manager on European markets. In 2008, he was Head of Quantitative Research - Socially Responsible Investment - at Natixis Asset Management. Joseph is a Financial Engineer specializing in financial research, with a particular focus on private assets. Based in Paris, he has worked at Natixis Investment Managers since 2012 and joined VEGA Investment Solutions in 2025.
Joseph holds a PhD in Management Sciences - Finance from Paris Dauphine University and holds a degree in Mathematics and Economics. He is a member of Société Française des Analystes Financiers and has been teaching Financial Theory and Portfolio Management for more than 20 years in several Masters of Finance at the University of Paris Dauphine. Joseph presents his research at international conferences, his articles have been published in the Journal of Investing and he co-authored Financial Performance: Analysis, Measures and Impact on Economic Growth, Nova Publishers, New York (2016).
