BOSTON, January 16, 2018 – Natixis Investment Managers announced today that Seeyond, formerly an investment division within Natixis Asset Management, is now an independent global affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers as of January 1, 20181. Emmanuel Bourdeix, formerly co-Chief Investment Officer, was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Seeyond, while Natixis Asset Management’s Chief Executive Officer, Matthieu Duncan, assumes the new role of Chairman of its Board of Directors. With more than $8 billion under management (as of September 30, 2017), the re-alignment of Seeyond as an independent investment manager is designed to accelerate expansion of the business, with a goal of doubling assets over the next three years, with the support of Natixis Investment Managers’ global distribution platform.

"We provide our clients with access to a comprehensive and unique range of investment managers via our multi-affiliate model and enable them to take advantage of an extensive selection of strategies to build their portfolios with a long-term view in mind," said Jean Raby, Chief Executive Officer of Natixis Investment Managers. "Seeyond’s active quantitative investment management solutions complement our product range and offer our clients an additional potential source of alpha2 generation."

Active by nature, quantitative by construction
Seeyond’s combination of quantitative investment management and active implementation seeks to offer investors the performance they hope to achieve with a lower level of risk incurred. To this end, Seeyond strives for a stringent approach to its investment processes by applying proprietary quantitative models, enhanced by the active oversight of its portfolio managers. Seeyond’s team of 20 specialists, each with an average of nearly 16 years’ experience, provides clients with an extensive range of equity, multi-asset, and volatility & overlay investment management strategies.

"Seeyond offers targeted strategies, combining a robust scientific approach with the substantial experience of its fund management teams, thereby meeting strong investor demand for alternatives to traditional fundamental investment management strategies and passive index funds," said Emmanuel Bourdeix, Chief Executive Officer of Seeyond. "We are pleased to continue to make these options available to clients as we build our momentum and brand."

Seeyond's expertise is utilized in the United States by Natixis Asset Management U.S., LLC, as subadvisors for the Natixis Seeyond International Volatility ETF (NYSE Arca: MVIN), which launched in October 2016. An actively managed minimum volatility international equity investment strategy, MVIN was Natixis's first ETF offered in the US and seeks to capture long-term capital appreciation in international equity markets over a full market cycle, with less volatility than typically experienced.

Risks:
Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) trade like stocks, are subject to investment risk, and will fluctuate in market value. Unlike mutual funds, ETF shares are not individually redeemable directly with the Fund, and are bought and sold at market price, which may be higher or lower than the ETF's net asset value (NAV). Transactions in shares of ETFs will result in brokerage commissions, which will reduce returns.

Active ETFs, unlike typical exchange-traded funds, do not attempt to track or replicate an index. Thus, the ability of the Fund to achieve its objectives will depend on the effectiveness of the portfolio manager.

Equity securities are volatile and can decline significantly in response to broad market and economic conditions.

Foreign securities may involve heightened risk due to currency fluctuations. Additionally, they may be subject to greater political, economic, environmental, credit, and information risks. Foreign securities may be subject to higher volatility than U.S. securities, due to varying degrees of regulation and limited liquidity.

Currency exchange rates between the U.S. dollar and foreign currencies may cause the value of the fund’s investments to decline.

Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against a loss.

Before investing, consider the fund's investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses. Visit im.natixis.com for a prospectus or a summary prospectus containing this and other information. Read it carefully.
