Dave Goodsell is Executive Director of the Natixis Center for Investor Insight, a research program dedicated to the analysis and reporting of issues and trends important to investors, their financial professionals, money managers, employers, governments and policymakers.
In this role, Goodsell leads global thought leadership initiatives for Natixis Investment Managers. He oversees a team of independent and affiliated researchers, analysts and writers who track major developments across the markets, economy and investing spectrum to understand attitudes and perceptions influencing the decisions of individual investors, financial professionals, consultants and institutional decision makers.
Under his leadership, the Center for Investor Insight has conducted more than 25 in-depth research studies since 2010, encompassing insights from more than 58,000 investors in 31 countries.
Through the Center for Investor Insight, Goodsell also administers Natixis Investment Managers' partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Laboratory for Financial Engineering on a groundbreaking research initiative aimed at improving investment decision-making outcomes by applying artificial intelligence models to investor behavior and goals.
Widely recognized as a source of primary data and insights, the Center for Investor Insight publishes findings that have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The Financial Times, L'Agefie, and a range of financial publications around the globe.
A veteran financial writer for more than 30 years and frequent speaker, Goodsell joined Natixis as editorial director in 2001 after serving as editorial director at Liberty Funds (now Columbia Threadneedle) and Fidelity Investments, where he specialized in the defined contribution plan retirement market. He regularly presents the Center’s findings to financial professionals, fund selectors and private bankers in the US, Europe and Asia. Goodsell is an expert panelist for the Gramercy Institute and the Financial Communications Society.*
