Michael Yip is Chief Investment Officer, Direct Indexing, at Natixis Investment Managers Solutions. He joined the firm in 2024 and is responsible for leading the management, oversight, and execution of the investment process for the direct indexing strategies.
Prior to joining Natixis, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager Architect at Russell Investments where he built and launched the firm’s direct indexing business and was responsible for all aspects of portfolio construction and ongoing portfolio implementation. Previously, he was a Director at Parametric Portfolio Associates where he managed and implemented custom portfolios including direct indexing, active manager, ETF, and mutual fund sleeves. He also improved and built new algorithms and tools to increase scale and capabilities.
Michael received a BA in Business Administration, with a Concentration in Finance, from the University of Washington. He is also a Certified Financial Analyst®.
