Vauban Infrastructure Partners (“Vauban”), an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, announces the closing of the acquisition of 100% of Nordic Renewable Power Holding (“NRPH AB”) from Green Investment Group.

NRPH AB is a portfolio of three windfarms located across the Nordics. The three windfarms, totaling 40 wind turbines for an aggregated capacity of c. 170MW, are fully operational. The supply of wind turbines was conducted by the top-notch players Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy & Vestas.

The portfolio is backed by a solid contractual framework with long term operating contracts with the same leading WTG players, long term offtake agreements with high creditworthiness counterparties. The windfarms are very well located, in the NO2 and SE3 Nord Pool zones which are considered favorable from a price and electricity demand standpoint.

NRPH AB is a strong addition to Vauban’s portfolio which further increases the Vauban’s commitment towards energy transition as well as its footprint in the Nordics. In addition, the transaction presents several key characteristics that make it an attractive investment – it fits in Vauban’s strategy as it is a core asset, located in a stable and AAA rated geography with high cash flow visibility over a very long term, and has a very strong ESG thesis in line with the team’s objectives as it increases the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix and contributes to provide sustainable energy solutions to local communities and industrial players.

Sam Zhang, Investment Director at Vauban Infrastructure Partners says: “Vauban, through this transaction, expands its footprint in the Nordics and allows to further strengthen its expertise in the energy transition sector. This transaction shows evidence of Vauban’s ability to identify and assess high quality core assets and its commitment toward its environmental responsibilities as long-term investor.“

Marine Meiller, Vice President at Vauban Infrastructure Partners, adds: “We are very pleased to complete this acquisition and contribute to European energy transition targets through this investment in one of the most attractive markets for renewable energy. Alongside key operating partners and with the support of local communities we will be highly committed to secure long-term value for all the stakeholders.“
