Ostrum Joins The Climate Action 100+ Initiative

Pursuing its ambitious ESG-CSR policy, Ostrum AM, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has joined the Climate Action 100+ initiative as an investor participant.

As a committed asset manager, Ostrum pays close attention to the conduct of each and every company in its portfolios, whether Ostrum invests in their shares or their bonds. Ostrum's goal is to draw each issuer’s attention to the ESG risks it may have overlooked or underestimated, and share its ESG best practices with the company.

Climate Action 100+ is an investor-led initiative to ensure that the world’s 166 largest corporate greenhouse gas emitters take necessary action to combat climate change.

It comprises 700 global investors who are responsible for more than $68 trillion in assets under management across 33 markets. Investor participants are signatories to the initiative and are responsible for direct engagements with focus companies, individually and/or collaboratively.

In signing up to Climate Action 100+, investors commit to engaging with at least one of the 166 focus companies that are strategically important to the net-zero emissions transition, ensuring that they align with the Paris Agreement and seeking commitments on the initiative’s key asks:

•  Implement a strong governance framework on climate change;
•  Take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain and;
•  Provide enhanced corporate disclosure.

Ostrum AM is committed to promoting the Climate Action 100+ targets with several companies among the initiative’s focus companies throughout 2022.
