Finance For Tomorrow, the new name for the Paris financial centre’s initiatives on green and sustainable finance, was announced on June 13 to coincide with the Green Bonds Principles annual general meeting and conference that took place the next day.

Mirova CEO Philippe Zaouati was recently appointed chairman of this initiative, and this event follows on from the Paris Europlace report published under his leadership in November, which outlines 15 overarching proposals spanning the entire initiative since it was set up.

Around forty organisations from the financial sector, the public sector and civil society have already signed up to this initiative, and former French minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy, Ségolène Royal also recently announced her support.

Finance For Tomorrow is organised into six working groups, focusing on three priorities:

Research, expertise and innovation:
  • Working group 1: Identifying research needs for Paris financial centre
  • Working group 2: Benchmark of global green financial centres
Structuring market and dialogue with public authorities
  • Working group 3: Public affairs
  • Working group 4: Climate financial disclosure
  • Working group 5: Green Bonds
Promotion and networking
  • Working group 6: Brand, communication, international events and network development.
