Nathalie Wallace is Global Head of Sustainable Investing at Natixis Investment Managers. Nathalie oversees the firm’s ambitious sustainable investment strategic goals and is responsible for driving Natixis Investment Managers’ sustainable investment commitments across its distribution network, its affiliate managers and as part of industry-wide initiatives. In that role, she is charged with strengthening the firm’s sustainable stewardship, driving the research agenda and investment capabilities, developing the range of innovative sustainable solutions for Natixis IM’s clients worldwide and supporting them on their journey from early state ESG integration, through climate, to impact investing.
Nathalie joined from Mirova, Natixis IM’s dedicated impact investment firm, where she led ESG Strategy & Development. In this role, she was charged with expanding on Mirova’s leadership in sustainable investing by developing key partnerships with clients, leading advocacy initiatives in the US, and fostering innovative ESG and climate-related fundamental research and investments with US-based research universities.
Nathalie is a long-time advocate for sustainability, having served as Global Head of ESG Investment Strategy at State Street Global Advisors and, while at Ceres, advancing collaborative engagement on climate-related risks such as Climate Action 100+ and the Investor Initiative for Sustainable Forests. Nathalie dedicated her career to sustainable economic development as an investor in emerging markets. She helped manage and co-managed emerging markets equity funds as a portfolio manager at Baring Asset Management, Wellington Management Company, Delta Partners and Batterymarch Financial Management.
Nathalie is an active participant in several key industry initiatives, including as a member of the ESG Technical Committee at the CFA Institute, the US SIF Research Committee, and the Climate Change Committee for the Investor Leadership Network, a G7 Initiative. She regularly researches, writes and speaks on topics addressing the intersection of sustainability and climate with finance and investment.
Nathalie earned her bachelor’s degree at the Institut Supérieur de Gestion Business School in Paris, France and is a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA). She served as French Foreign Trade Advisor from 2014 to 2020 and is a member of the Climate Protection Action Committee for the City of Cambridge in Massachusetts.
