Community Involvement
At Natixis Investment Managers, we believe it’s our civic responsibility to help improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. Through Together for Better®, our community involvement program, we combine our resources, our talents and passions, and the collective power of our community partners to fulfill this important mission.
We collaborate with local non-profit health and human services organizations to help address the needs of our most vulnerable populations. We seek to enhance educational experiences and opportunities by providing direct support to schools and scholarships for students. We support cultural enrichment with music sponsorships – all to help make our communities stronger.
Philanthropy
Our philanthropic model is unique. Our employees are personally involved with the non-profit organizations we support. Each agency we assist has a dedicated team of Natixis employees who partner with their staff to develop and implement an annual plan that ensures that our help is directed to the areas where it’s needed most. For added support, senior leaders from Natixis volunteer to chair each team and many serve on the boards of our non-profit partners. Our partner organizations:

Our approach has earned widespread recognition in the community and the industry. Natixis employees have been named Boston’s Most Generous for seven years running, and their work with the John Winthrop School has been held up as an example by the City of Boston’s Mayor’s Office.
Charitable giving is a vital part of the culture at Natixis, and efforts in Boston are amplified across the country and the globe with similar programs at our offices in San Francisco, London and Paris.
Community
John Winthrop Elementary School in Dorchester, MA
Our relationship with the John Winthrop School aims to effect long-lasting, positive change for grade school students in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. Combining corporate funding with volunteer events, mentoring and other programs, our efforts are making a difference in the lives of the Winthrop students and their families.
Our partnership with the John Winthrop School began with our IT Department conducting a comprehensive audit of the school’s technology to help administrators develop long-term technology-enabled educational programs. In connection with this effort, we have provided laptops, software, iPads and Smart Boards to several classrooms. Since that time, we have engaged in other initiatives designed to improve the school and the learning environment, including soundproofing the cafeteria and transforming unused outdoor space into a beautiful garden, developing a holiday gift giving program, conducting school supply drives, and organizing a summer volunteer clean-up day.

Every week, our employees visit the school and participate in its Power Lunch Mentoring Program. Our mentors work one-on-one with students to help raise confidence levels, improve literacy skills and cultivate curiosity.
