OpenAirlines, a pioneer in software solutions for eco-piloting, has announced the successful raising of nearly €45 million, led by Eiffel Investment Group and supported by Mirova, a committed player in sustainable investment. This fundraising aims to strengthen OpenAirlines’ position in the ecological transition of the aviation sector, facilitating its expansion into North America and Asia.
Since its inception in 2006, OpenAirlines has developed SkyBreathe®, an innovative SaaS solution that helps airlines optimise their fuel consumption and reduce their CO₂ emissions. With over 70 clients worldwide, OpenAirlines’ technology enabled the avoidance of 1.4 million tonnes of CO₂ in 2023, showcasing its positive impact on the environment.
In a market for aviation decarbonisation expected to triple in size by 2030, OpenAirlines is reinforcing its ambitions with this nearly €45 million funding. This operation, supported by Eiffel Investment Group (leading the funding round) and Mirova, brings together two leading players in the field of energy transition financing in Europe, aiming to consolidate OpenAirlines’ global leadership.
Alexandre Feray, CEO of OpenAirlines, highlighted that this funding will enable the company to become a central player in the digitalisation and reduction of airlines' carbon footprints. Mirova is delighted to support this initiative, which combines economic performance with a commitment to sustainable aviation.
